They predict Córdoba, Huelva and Sevilla will reach 39 degrees in some areas, while Granada, Jaén, Málaga, Almería, Ciudad Real and Badajoz are forecast to reach 38, and Gran Canaria, Cuenca, Guadalajara, Toledo and Murcia are expected to reach 37.
Huesca, Albacete, Cáceres, Madrid and Teruel are forecast to reach 36 while El Hierro, La Palma and Tenerife have 34 as the expected high.
A red alert for extreme temperatures was issued on Tuesday morning for several zones of Castilla-la Mancha and the Canaries.
Places such as Toledo could reach 40 degrees.
There will be cloud in Asturias and the north of Galicia coast, with cloudy intervals also in Cantabria.
The heat will lead to cloud forming over high ground later in the day, but no rain is expected.
NE winds will be moderate but strong on the Canaries and the Galician coast.
The high temperatures have led to the most serious forest fire of the summer. The blaze, which started on Saturday afternoon, has now been brought under control after 500 hectares were destroyed at Valdeorras, Orense.
