Countdown for Alicante chiringuitos: "Within a matter of days, it will be goodbye to five of the chiringuitos on Alicante’s Playa de San Juan, which must be demolished in accordance with the Ley de Costas Coastal Law before the middle of the month.
The demolition order was signed by City Hall on Monday and, from mid-January, three of the owners will then have a maximum of five months to build new, much smaller, premises in line with the Coastal Law. The remaining two will not be rebuilt."
